For Therapists

Welcome to the Enneagram. This amazing therapeutic tool will give you insights into your clients’ emotions, behaviors, and cognitions (internal messages).

We are born with our Enneagram temperament, the template for our personality. Family, culture, and history form the childhood influences, which are written onto the background of temperament.

The happy-go-lucky Enneagram 7 child is adored in an emotionally healthy family that likes fun and humor. In a strict, upright, or demanding family, the same Joyful child will be seen as hyperactive, a nuisance, and too much. Instead of a gift, the 7 child becomes a burden. As a burden, the child develops life-long insecurities. Later, they may look for therapy to understand themselves.

Begin by learning your own Enneagram temperament. The key is to use it with family, friends, and clients. You don’t have to be an expert to start. Then, learn the Mandala of Triads and Triangles. Move on to other nuances like Wings, Subsets, Research, and Strange Questions.
